DAY 2

Milan - Arezzo

Today heading towards the famous  Apennine Mountains, along the Brenta River past Bologna, to Pisa, the hometown of Galileo and a city, which makes the most of its claim to fame - its Leaning Tower! It has leaned almost since construction first started, due to the swampy soil beneath it. At a photo stop here, catch its amazing beauty along with its characteristic tilt. It is the Duomo's (Cathedral) Bell Tower. Together with the Baptistry, these are all a part of the Square of Miracles. Then move towards Florence, a shrine to the marvels of the Renaissance, with more artistic riches per square meter than any other city in the world! Included in your guided city tour of Florence is a visit to the remarkable Duomo (when open for visitors), which is the fourth largest cathedral in the world. It leads the city's skyline and still expresses its scale - no building in town is taller! Also, it is the 'Gate to Paradise' - the blissful gilded bronze doors of the Baptistry, formerly a pagan temple and the open-air gallery in Signoria Square. Then walk on the prominent Ponte Vecchio, the ancient surviving bridge in the city. After a thrilling trip, drive to the area of Tuscany. Upon arrival, head on to your hotel and check-in. Enjoy the overnight in Arezzo Breakfast at the hotel and dinner at an Indian restaurant.

DAY 3

Arezzo

'Rome was not built in a day'- the fact of this oft-quoted saying hits you with full power, as we pack in all the 'must see' schedule into our guided city trip. Based on legend, Rome was established by Romulus and Remus in 753 BC. Begin your journey to Rome at the eminent Trevi Fountain. Myth has it, that if you make a desire and toss a coin above your left shoulder into the fountain, you are certain to return to Rome. We at Princy Travels look onward to that. Then head on towards the triumphal Arch of Constantine, one of the most significant commemorative monuments of antique and then heading towards Piazza Venezia, where the grandiose monument to the reunification of Italy is often mentioned to as the Marble wedding cake. Pass the Circus Maximus - the Hippodrome - recognized for its earliest chariot races, which was rebuilt by Hollywood for the familiar movie 'Ben Hur'. Pay tribute to the courageous Gladiators of Rome. At this amphitheatre, the infamous and gory gladiatorial games were held, where they clashed one another and wild animals while the horde roared! Pass the relics of the Roman Forum. Far ahead, continue to The Vatican, the smallest country in the world. Next in line is making a visit to the most well-known square of The Vatican is St. Peter's Square with St. Peter's Basilica, one of the largest churches in the world. Stare in wonder at Michelangelo's Pieta. After a stirring trip relaxes and adores your return drive to the hotel. Enjoy the night stay in Arezzo.

DAY 4

Arezzo - Padova

Morning heading towards past quaint villages, fruit orchards, medieval castles and cutting across the fertile Adriatic Plains, to the magical lagoon city of Venice. Nothing makes you for the fascinating city of canals and palaces - Venice is just simply unique. It is made on 117 small islands, it is a walker's city, so get ready for a walking tour. Tour from Tronchetto Pier and glide romantically past fairytale palaces, over unbelievable miniature canals to the Piazza San Marco, where you disembark. Napoleon dubbed the Square the 'finest drawing room in Europe' for its continuous carnival atmosphere. See the bronze Moors striking the hour, as they have been doing for the past 500 years. From there to the Doge's Palace, joined by the 'Bridge of Sighs' to its prisons. It was from here that the famous lover Casanova made his escape. Finish this electrifying trip with a quick visit to a Murano Glass Showroom for a demonstration in glass blowing. It was on the island of Murano that glass was first prepared in Europe and hand-blown Venetian glass is world famed. Delight at its top this evening. Stay to your hotel and check-in. Overnight in Padova.

DAY 5

Homeward Bound

It's just a matter of hours now! After breakfast, we wave goodbye to the French Rivera and head to Milan, Italy, driving along the final stretch of gorgeous natural scapes. Milan is an international fashion capital. Pretty much like any other Italian town, Milan has its share of influential history and a rich cultural and architectural heritage. The most iconic structure in town that exemplifies both the historic and cultural aspects of the town is that of The Cathedral or the Duomo di Milan. One of the largest and most complex Gothic buildings in Italy and the fifth largest Christian Church in the world, the Duomo is undoubtedly the most impressive monument in Milan. We spend some time here to explore this magnificent structure in all its artistic beauty. And though it may seem sooner than expected, it's now time to hit the road to the airport where we finally board our flight back home reminiscing the wonderful memories of the holiday.
