DAY 1

Arrive Zurich

Welcome to your 'European Rhapsody' tour. On arrival in Zurich, our representative will greet you at the 'meeting point' at the exit. After immigration and customs, transfer comfortably to your hotel. We take care to schedule your sightseeing the next day so that you can relax after your long flight and get over your jetlag. Overnight in Zurich. Dinner at an Indian restaurant

 

 

DAY 2

Zurich - Innsbruck

Today, proceed for a short orientation tour of Zurich strolling down Bahnhofstrasse - the city's fanciest shopping street, past well-known sights like Peterskirche located in a medieval square, well-known for its 16th Century clock which is the largest clock in Europe. The stylish copper spire of the Fraumunster originates in the 9th Century with inspiring stained glass windows. Across the Limmat River, you will get a stunning view of the Grossmunster - a lovely Romanesque and Gothic Cathedral devoted to Zurich's patron saints. Then,  heading towards beautiful  Austria. On the way, you can stop at the principality of Liechtenstein and take a  break at Vaduz - the capital, to relish a short orientation. It is renowned for its postage stamps. Next in line is the visit to the internationally renowned Swarovski Crystal Worlds in Wattens, and get ready to be astonished at the 'Chambers of Wonder. In an incredible blue hall subjugated by a Unicum- a wall of crystal, you realize the biggest crystal in the world and it's smallest. Over 7 million individuals from all nook and corners of the world have already been electrified by the Swarovski experience.Continue a scenic drive to Innsbruck. Situated near the Inn River is one of the most lively and beautiful cities in Europe.  It is an international centre for winter sports and it has hosted the Winter Olympics twice. Upon arrival, board for an orientation trip that hosts you to its world-famous highlights. Witness the Golden Roof, an ornate Gothic balcony created by Emperor Maximilian I in the 15th century, decked with gold painted copper shingles. Then walk to the Imperial Church trailed by the 'Hofburg' or Imperial Palace. This capital of the Alps has a past of 800 years. After this get back to your hotel and check-in.  Experience the wonderful overnight stay and the calmness in Innsbruck.

 

 

DAY 3

Innsbruck - Padova

Morning heading towards past quaint villages, fruit orchards, medieval castles and cutting across the fertile Adriatic Plains, to the magical lagoon city of Venice. Nothing makes you for the fascinating city of canals and palaces - Venice is just simply unique. It is made on 117 small islands, it is a walker's city, so get ready for a walking tour. Tour from Tronchetto Pier and glide romantically past fairytale palaces, over unbelievable miniature canals to the Piazza San Marco, where you disembark. Napoleon dubbed the Square the 'finest drawing room in Europe' for its continuous carnival atmosphere. See the bronze Moors striking the hour, as they have been doing for the past 500 years. From there to the Doge's Palace, joined by the 'Bridge of Sighs' to its prisons. It was from here that the famous lover Casanova made his escape. Finish this electrifying trip with a quick visit to a Murano Glass Showroom for a demonstration in glass blowing. It was on the island of Murano that glass was first prepared in Europe and hand-blown Venetian glass is world famed. Delight at its top this evening. Stay to your hotel and check-in. Overnight in Padova.

 

 

DAY 4

Padova - Arezzo

Today heading towards the famous  Apennine Mountains, along the Brenta River past Bologna, to Pisa, the hometown of Galileo and a city, which makes the most of its claim to fame - its Leaning Tower! It has leaned almost since construction first started, due to the swampy soil beneath it. At a photo stop here, catch its amazing beauty along with its characteristic tilt. It is the Duomo's (Cathedral) Bell Tower. Together with the Baptistry, these are all a part of the Square of Miracles. Then move towards Florence, a shrine to the marvels of the Renaissance, with more artistic riches per square meter than any other city in the world. Then you can proceed towards a stretch of olive groves and vineyards to the Tuscany zone.  After the busy day, you can check in to your hotel and enjoy the overnight stay in Arezzo.

 

DAY 5

Arezzo

'Rome was not built in a day'- the fact of this oft-quoted saying hits you with full power, as we pack in all the 'must see' schedule into our guided city trip. Based on legend, Rome was established by Romulus and Remus in 753 BC. Begin your journey to Rome at the eminent Trevi Fountain. Myth has it, that if you make a desire and toss a coin above your left shoulder into the fountain, you are certain to return to Rome. We at Princy Travels look onward to that. Then head on towards the triumphal Arch of Constantine, one of the most significant commemorative monuments of antique and then heading towards Piazza Venezia, where the grandiose monument to the reunification of Italy is often mentioned to as the Marble wedding cake. Pass the Circus Maximus - the Hippodrome - recognized for its earliest chariot races, which was rebuilt by Hollywood for the familiar movie 'Ben Hur'. Pay tribute to the courageous Gladiators of Rome. At this amphitheatre, the infamous and gory gladiatorial games were held, where they clashed one another and wild animals while the horde roared! Pass the relics of the Roman Forum. Far ahead, continue to The Vatican, the smallest country in the world. Next in line is making a visit to the most well-known square of The Vatican is St. Peter's Square with St. Peter's Basilica, one of the largest churches in the world. Stare in wonder at Michelangelo's Pieta. After a stirring trip relaxes and adores your return drive to the hotel. Enjoy the night stay in Arezzo.

 

DAY 6

Chamonix

The morning after the delicious breakfast heading to Aiguille du Midi riding the highest and most inspiring cable car that lifts you to 3842 meters for a haunting view of the Alps. The more courageous can experience Pace into the Void, a 2.50 m glass cage out over a 1000 m precipice. The Aiguille du Midi also has its own postage stamp and a letterbox. Next a ride on the wistful red cog railway to Montenvers. The train climbs a steep track, over scenic Alpine scenery, to a spectacular vantage point above the 'Mer de Glace' (Sea of Ice). You know you have really arrived when you stand at 1913 meters, at the 'Mer de Glace', which is 7 km long and 200 meters thick, with a surface dimension of 40 km. A crystal gallery, an ice garden, the famous ice grotto 100 meters long, carved every year into the heart of the glacier, lie in wait for you. Enjoy the soothing stay in Chamonix.

 

DAY 7

Homeward Bound

Today, after breakfast, check-out and drive to Lucerne. See picturesque mountains, lakes, cowbells, alpine villages and meadows. Stop at the poignant Lion Monument, made to honour the brave Swiss soldiers killed during the French Revolution. Stroll along the covered, wooden Kappellbrucke (chapel bridge), to the ornate Jesuit Church. You also get the chance to the marvels of Swiss shopping. Usually, it is common that most of the nomads take two things to their home – a Swiss watch and the beautiful memories of the nation. Good times need never end! As you get ready for the airport and your flight back home, relive the high points of your  'European Rhapsody' tour. We are confident you will join us again sometime soon.

  • Optional & Add-On tours unless mentioned otherwise.
  • Cost of US $ 2,50,000 granted by the Reserve Bank of India under the Liberalised Remittance Scheme.
  • Any increase in the airfare / taxes / routing charged by the airlines for tickets (presently calculated on 01 Jan 2018).
  • Airline and Hotel surcharges (if applicable) during high / festive season / trade fairs to be paid extra per person.
  • Cost of extension of validity or deviation of your air-ticket
  • Medical test and Premium cost of insurance with Trawelltag valid for passengers above 70 years of age.
  • Porterage at hotels, apartment, airports and seaports, tips, laundry, wines, mineral water, telephone charges, all items of personal nature and also food and drinks not forming part of the touring group's menu.
  • Anything not specifically mentioned under inclusions.
  • Baggage handling fee charged by the operating airline for the excess check-in baggage.
  • Any increase in rate of Euro (presently calculated at 1 Euro = 80 INR, as on 01 Jan 2018) leading to an increase in tour cost coming into effect prior to departure. However, the rate prevailing on the given day of payment will apply.
